How Does Fantasy Football Work?
After your contestants sign up for the tournament, they will be given a login and password to your respective tournament site.
The contestants will be able to login and select your starting line-up every week. A starting line-up consists of:
1 Quarterback
2 Running Backs
3 Wide Receivers
1 Tight End
1 Place Kicker
1 Defensive / Special Team
Contestant’s weekly scores are calculated based on the cumulative scores of all the players they selected as their respective starters for the week. An example would be if your Quarterback scored three passing touchdowns, then your fantasy team would receive 12 points (4 points for each passing TD). Points are also rewarded for yards accumulated, turnovers, and various other statistics.
Once all your players have completed their respective games, your team's Total Points will be tallied and compared with all the other teams in the tournament. After each week, the teams with the highest Total Points will win weekly prizes. Your weekly Total Points are added up for the entire season through Week 12 of the NFL season. After Week 12, the top 10% will advance into the Tournament Playoffs and compete for the one of the Grand Prizes.
There's one catch! Once a contestant selects an NFL Player they cannot select him again until the playoffs. WHY...you might ask? Well, Start 'Em Once' format simplifies the entire league, including the administration of a ship-wide league. There are no draft and no waiver-wire transactions to be brokered. All you have to do is logon to the tournament site and submit your starting line-up each week. What if the internet is down while we are underway? No worries, contestants can email Deployed Entertainment and we will do the rest. It’s that simple!
